A Unique Chieftain

Coming to Auction at Bruun-Rasmussen later this month is a stunning and unique Chieftain chair made by Niels Vodder. The thing that makes this chair like no other that we know of, is the elm wood frame. It is absolutely beautiful.

The chair was re-upholstered in the 1990s by Ivan Schlechter, who originally upholstered the Chieftain chair for Niels Vodder. The upholstery bears the later hallmark style that we see on Chieftain chairs made under Schlechter’s license (see the welt cord under the seat). If you’re looking for a chair like no other, don’t miss out on the auction on September 26.
